Archimandrite of the Holy Metropolis of Staga and Meteora Dorotheos Tsevelekas passed away. In recent weeks, he was in the Trikala hospital in the intensive care unit, diagnosed with coronavirus.
According to trikalavoice.gr, the blessed archimandrite “managed to turn the monastery of St. George Avras into a beehive of believers in 8 years.”
The Sacred Diocese of Stagi and Meteora has issued a related announcement stating that the funeral procession and burial will take place on Great Tuesday at 10.30 am at the Sacred Monastery of Agios Georgios Avras, with all the prescribed coronavirus protocols.
As indicated, “during the procession, only the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Stagi and Meteora, Mr. Teoklitos and the authorized priests will be inside the Temple, due to the aforementioned protection measures.”
