During the holiday season, all winter destinations in the tourist areas of Greece show 100% occupancy rates.
Tourism Minister Vasilis Kikilias reported on the positive news in the tourism sector, informing about record incomes. Even in non-tourist areas, the occupancy rate was also high – over 80%. The minister also announced new agreements:
“Over the past 10 days, two agreements have been reached with travel agents from Sweden and Germany to send 50% more tourists in the fall of 2022.”
The tourist season in the coming new year, Mr. Kikilias noted, will begin on March 2, 2022 and end on November 30.
As noted by Global Traveler, Greece is the Top Travel Destination 2021 in the Tested Reader Survey Awards.
