At midday on September 20, police in Corinth were activated after a suicide tip-off was received by the department. The text stated that a 48-year-old woman was threatening to kill herself by jumping off a bridge.
According to korinthostv, the woman permanently resides in Nemea and traveled to the isthmus specifically to commit suicide. The woman's relatives reported her intention to commit suicide to the local police department. They, in turn, notified the Corinth police department.
Law enforcement officers prevented a suicide – they caught the potential suicide at the moment when she was writing a farewell note.
After receiving a call about a possible suicide, Corinth police officers went to a parking lot and found a woman sitting behind the wheel of her car, writing a note. After much effort, specialists managed to convince her not to do it. She was then taken to Corinth Hospital.
