Fashion designer Erotokritos Kimionis was robbed early Friday morning. According to Greek police, it all happened at about 3:50 a.m. when two unknown men broke down the door of the apartment building where the designer's studio is located in Kolonaki and entered the premises with the intention of robbing.
The criminals then confronted the designer, took about 500 euros and fled. The police arrived a few minutes later but were unable to catch the robbers.
In a video posted online, E. Kimionis described what happened when he encountered the criminals.
“There's a robbery in my house right now. To be faced with two robbers with guns coming into your house at 3:30 in the morning, and it's a matter of perspective how you see it. Thanks to these people, I realized that even in such a state, one can be fearless and compassionate. WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE IN OUR GLOBAL COUNTRY, IN OUR GREECE and its government officials? We need active citizens and a restart of the law from citizen indignation to the restoration of our rights and obligations. With equality”, – Erotokritos writes in his post.
