Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo's wedding is set to take place in the coming days, and he has chosen the Greek resort of Costa Navarino in southern Greece as the venue.
Yannis will marry his longtime partner Mariah Riddlesprigger on August 31, 2024, in a private, low-key ceremony. The couple have been together for ten years, have three children, and are now making their relationship official. The lavish celebration will last three days.
200 guests are invited to the weddingincluding 30 high-ranking VIP celebrities from around the world. There is no official confirmation of the list of invitees, but the Greek publication Proto Thema suggests that Participants will include Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, NBA legend LeBron James, international tennis superstar Serena Williams and French football star Kylian Mbappe.
The Milwaukee Bucks, the Greek Freak's professional family, will also be in attendance at the grand event – players, coach and team president Peter Feigin. Guests will reportedly be asked not to bring cell phones for privacy reasons.
The event will kick off with a welcome party at the W Hotel, followed by a celebration the following day to celebrate the Adetokunbo family’s Nigerian roots. The wedding ceremony will take place on the W Hotel beach, where select guests will be able to enjoy a varied menu featuring both international and Greek cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh seafood and local wines from the wider Peloponnese region of Greece.
