Laws must be tightened
“If I had made a video, which, for obvious reasons, I didn’t, we would be talking about other things now. In light of these incidents, we will talk again about tougher laws. It is not in my power, it is something we are going to do together. Rape, violence and child abuse should have the harshest punishment that can exist in this country. And it shouldn't be applied because that's the status quo – if you're found guilty, you get the lightest sentence there is in the criminal code.”
Of course, all this means one very simple thing: pUnder the New Democracy government, everyone does what they want, where they want, and how they want. There is no sense of law and order and now everyone is in danger from everyone in a society that has morally collapsed. M. Athanasiou himself is shocked and calls for tougher punishments, emphasizing that «The discussion is not purely partisan. It is more of a political and social nature.”
