Kastoria: sudden thunderstorm with hail

A thunderstorm broke out in several areas of Kastoria. Strong winds broke tree branches, roads were flooded, and hail fell.

“The skies opened up” in the Kastoria region on Monday afternoon, August 26, when clear summer weather suddenly gave way to autumn weather, with heavy rain and hail. The storm began at about 18:40. Lightning flashed across the darkened sky, and hail fell.
