A police investigation has been launched following a complaint filed by a woman working as a municipal employee in the Piraeus municipality after she claimed she was raped by a colleague in the Perama area.
According to the report, the victim told security that she was sexually assaulted after she finished work.
Police have handcuffed a 48-year-old man accused of stripping a 44-year-old woman, performing sexual acts and performing a sexual act on her against her will while they worked together on a council refuse lorry.
The day before yesterday, Tuesday (20/08), at 4.20 in the morning, a woman came to the security department of Kaminias and filed a complaint. Some time later, a municipal employee was arrested, who admitted the fact of sexual contact, but denied the accusations against him, stating that everything happened with the consent of the victim.
A forensic medical examination has already been scheduled, as well as an inspection of the garbage truck cabin by National Police officers.
