Thriller on Tilos: Newborn fed milk diluted with sea water

The shocking story of how volunteers rescued a 50-day-old baby was told by the mayor of Tilos, Maria Kamma.

The baby was given the name “Jonas”, comparing the little refugee child with the monk who washed himself on Tilos and built the monastery of Saint Panteleimon there.
As the mayor states, “oThe Tilos community has once again risen to the occasion, lending a shoulder to the refugees. The locals are trying to cope as best they can with the “migrant crisis” in their homeland and help the suffering, injured and distressed people.”

The baby's parents, stumped by the harsh living conditions on the island, for lack of anything better, decided to feed their baby milk diluted in sea water(!). Luckily, the baby was saved.”.
