New femicide: killed his wife and then shot himself

Another murder of a woman took place on Monday afternoon, August 12, in Pagrati (Lamia) area when an elderly man shot his wife dead and then committed suicide.

As reported by lamiareport.gr, passers-by suddenly heard gunshots. When concerned people rushed to the scene, they could not believe their eyes: in front of them lay two bodies – a man and a woman, covered in blood.

According to the same source, their identities have been established: they are a 67-year-old resident of the area and his 60-year-old wife, who lived in their home.

The police were notified and a heavy police presence was dispatched to the scene. The ambulance service was also notified. The background to the case is being investigated.
