€2,500 student housing allowance: Application deadline Wednesday

The application deadline for student housing allowance of €1,500 to €2,500 for the 2023-2024 academic year is tomorrow, Wednesday 31 July.

Applications for student housing allowance are submitted in a special application: https://stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr. A prerequisite for submitting an application is that the student who is granted a scholarship must be a citizen of Greece or another European Union country, have a valid academic ID and taxpayer identification number, and be a tax resident of Greece. The assessment of applications by the competent services of the fund is carried out in a special application: assessment-stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr.

Statements initially are assessed taking into account the data relating to the student for whom the application for housing benefit is submitted, and only if they are approved, additional data on cohabitation are assessed.

If the applications approved for the data of the student for whom the application for housing allowance is submitted, the data on cohabitation have not been filled in (or have not been approved) by the competent service of the fund, the student will receive the amount of 1,500 euros. The allowance is set at 2,000 euros exclusively for beneficiaries studying in higher education institutions outside the Attica Region or the Thessaloniki Regional Unit.

If all details of the application are approved by the competent service of the fund, including details of cohabitation, the amount of 2000 euros will be paid.

Exclusively in the case of a beneficiary who studies at a university outside the Attica Region or the Thessaloniki Regional Office and lives with another student in the same rented accommodation, the amount of the benefit is 2,500 euros.
