Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center: Free open-air cinema screenings

A large screen under the bottomless Athenian sky, and in front of it is green grass. Summer nights against the backdrop of stars, travel to distant and imaginary worlds in SNFCC.

It's been a year since the program Park Your Cinema Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) invites us to a panorama of open-air film screenings in a park clearing at 9 pm. The program is free until July 20 and saturated moviesoffering young and old alike a journey into the world of cinema.

Athens International Film Festival for Children and Teens (ATHICFF) took care of the little ones. The stories of live-action and animated films invite children on a journey into fantasy and timeless myths. Thanks to imaginary scenarios, they will broaden their horizons, reflect, but above all, leave with a satisfied smile. After all, cinema is one of the most important forms of entertainment combined with its educational character. All films contribute to a pleasant pastime for the whole family, because the ideas they convey (for example, about the power of friendship in “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, about courage in “Brave”, about the importance and preservation of memory in “Coco”) are timeless.
