NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on the eve of the North Atlantic Alliance summit in Washington, which will be held July 9-11, that the allies are discussing and resolving many issues regarding Ukraine.

Jens Stoltenberg expressed his firm belief that the stronger the support from the alliance, the more reliable the long-term commitments to Ukraine, the faster the war will end.
Antony Blinken previously said that the July NATO summit in Washington should provide a “bridge” to Ukraine’s membership in the alliance. Julian Smith, US Ambassador to NATO, said that at the meeting of NATO leaders in Washington there will be important changes in language regarding the prospects for Ukraine's membership in NATO.
She said that NATO had agreed on the need to give a political signal that Ukraine was approaching the alliance, and this signal would become part of the overall assistance package to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian government stated that the decision of the NATO summit will contain a specific position on the irreversibility of Ukraine’s membership.
