A magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred at 11:53 a.m. near Kythnos and was felt in Attica.

The earthquake had a focal depth of 14.4 km and occurred approximately 17 km northeast of the island of Kythnos.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center, for its part, initially gave the earthquake a magnitude of 4.4 Richter, and has now also given a figure of 4.3 Richter.
