Four people were killed and 16 injured when the roof of a restaurant collapsed in a popular European resort.
How tells BB.LV edition, the incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, May 23, at the Medusa Beach Club, a restaurant popular with tourists. The Independent clarifies that a few minutes before the collapse people were dancing on the terrace.
According to representatives of the Spanish National Police, two German women, a Spaniard and a Senegalese, could not be saved. Five of the 16 wounded being treated in hospital are in serious condition.
The publication notes that the tragedy occurred a day after the restaurant posted a photo of the terrace on its Instagram account with the caption: “Completely different, new roof.”
