The Russian Federation calls on the owner of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov to be more careful after the terrorist attack in the Moscow region.
About this how writes CNN Greece, the Kremlin reports through its spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said:
“We would expect more attention from Pavel Durov, because this unique and technologically superior resource, developed, in fact, before our generation, is increasingly becoming a tool in the hands of terrorists, used for terrorist purposes.”
Telegram was allegedly used for recruitment terroristswho committed attack at the Moscow Concert Center, which killed at least 143 people.
Dmitry Peskov told a Russian news site that there are no plans to block the app, which is a major distributor of news in Russia and around the world, but Durov should be more careful.
The RIA agency reports that the attackers were recruited through a radical network on Telegram, owned by grouping Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISIS-K). Dubai-based Telegram app was founded by Durov, who left Russia in 2014 after losing control of his previous company.
Durov, 39, was born in Russia, lives in Dubai and has dual citizenship of the United Arab Emirates and France. According to Forbes, Durov's fortune is estimated at $15.5 billion.
