Greeks are looking forward to the next three weekends on March 25th. In the short-term rental sector, the level of pre-bookings is already high – more than 85%, and in the mountainous regions of Arcadia and Kastoria it even reaches 100%.
In particular, according to a survey by Hellenic Real Estate Network E Real Estates, in Arachova they reach 76% with rental prices for three nights starting from 546 euros (at the beginning of the month it was from 430 euros), and availability is only 43 properties.
In Kalavrita, pre-bookings reach 93% (88% at the beginning of the month), with only 6 properties available on the short-term rental platform Airbnb with prices starting from 846 euros (compared to 560 euros at the beginning of the month).
In Metsovo, the cost of accommodation for three nights ranges from 432 euros, while the share of advance bookings reaches 74%. Pre-booking in Dimitsan reaches 100%, which is logical, because already at the beginning of the month the number of pre-bookings reached 92%.
Among the best options is Arcadia. The destination is among the favorites (for a 3-day trip). Since mid-January, advance booking rates have been satisfactory. Availability in Zatuna and Lagadia is zero, and the number of pre-orders already reaches 100%. In Levidi, advance bookings reach 95%, with only 4 properties available for rent with prices starting from 635 euros, while in Vytina from 1281 euros (881 euros at the beginning of the month), in Stemnitsa from 1234 euros.
In the Arcadian village of Blachernae, the cost of renting for three nights from 329 euros at the beginning of the month is now 705 euros, with the share of advance bookings reaching 88%.
Great interest in Magnesia and Pelion. In the mountain destinations of Magnesia, advance booking rates range from 90% to 93% in Makrinitsa and Portaria respectively. At the same time, the rental price varies from 529 euros (434 euros at the beginning of the month) in Makrinitsa for three nights and from 434 euros in Portaria, even reaching 752 euros.
The city of Ioannina is a traditional winter holiday destination. The short-term rental industry on the Airbnb platform consists of 417 self-contained houses/apartments. Advance bookings for the three days on March 25 reach 96% (85% at the beginning of the month), and there are now 17 properties available for rental (62 at the beginning of the month). Asking prices for three-day rentals range from €444.
Trikala in Thessaly, from 70% advance booking at the beginning of the month, now reaches 84% with prices from €335 for three nights. Meanwhile, Kastoria reaches 100% from 97% at the beginning of the month, and Kalambaka – 94% from 83%. In the city, the cost of three nights starts from 300 euros, now 394 euros.
In Nafplio, which can be visited at any time of the year, the advance reservation rate is 90% (62% at the beginning of the month). Three-day rentals from €423 (€243 at the start of the month) in a residence suitable for a family of four or a group. There are 718 properties listed in Kalamata across all platforms. The cost of renting a house for three nights ranges from 212 euros.
“Citizens who either did not have time or do not want to spend large sums in three days on March 25 can choose nearby continental destinations in the Peloponnese, at distances not exceeding 2-2.5 hours from Athens. Although many may choose such destinations, like Chalkida, Agios Konstantinos, Kamena Vourla, as well as the coastal part of South Attica,” said Themistocleos Bakas, President of E-Real Estates.
