Procedure for filing tax returns and issuing notices ENFIA have entered the final stage.
According to available information, most likely the declaration filing platform will open in the last week of March, and the ENFIA amount will be known in the first week of April. It is worth noting that this year the electronic platform will open earlier than in any other year (last year it happened on March 31).
It is expected that within the next week the corresponding legislative regulation will be adopted, which will concern automatic pre-filling and filing of tax returns for workers and retirees. This means that the return will be pre-populated and the taxpayer will be able to file it in one click. And if the citizen does nothing at all, the declaration will be submitted automatically upon expiration of the deadline. The measure affects approximately 1 million taxpayers who received income in 2023 solely from wages and pensions. This year will be a test measure, as from 2025 returns will be completely pre-filled.
Submission schedule returns stipulates that the process must be completed by June 30, 2024, and the tax arising from the settlement of tax returns must be paid in 8 equal monthly installments. The first must be paid by July 31, and the last by February 28, 2025.
If the additional tax amount is paid in a lump sum before the end of July, a 3% discount on the total debt is provided.
Freelancers, self-employed and individual entrepreneurs this year they will “sigh” as they will be asked to pay 50% less business tax. The measure does not apply to legal entities and those who have μπλοκάκι (taxed as employees).
