Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Aspropyrgos on Saturday morning, where he met and spoke with citizens at a local cafe in the central square.

During his visit to the Western Attica region, the Prime Minister listened to the problems of the region’s residents, and also did not refuse to take photographs with everyone.

In particular, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis made a speech in Aspropyrgos, addressing the public. As the publication iefimerida writes, the trip was caused by “Megaro Maximos’s concerns – in view of the European elections – citizens’ distrust of government manipulations,” which is recorded in public opinion polls.

The government is looking for ways to eliminate “mistrust”: the Prime Minister told the assembled citizens that the problem of inflation is the No. 1 issue worrying Greek society today.

Mitsotakis said the government would continually monitor the market through structural measures: “So that we can not only contain inflation, but also start to see real price reductions that will impact the household basket and how much money consumers spend each month to support their families “

At the same time, he said: “I will repay the trust you placed in us in the last elections. (…) You will constantly see that, despite great difficulties, things are getting better, daily life is improving, and the country as a whole is progressing and confidently, boldly moves forward.”

The Prime Minister, among other things, mentioned the upcoming European elections and said that Greek citizens should think very carefully about which MPs they send to the next European Parliament in order to be able to demand and fight for national justice in the difficult environment of Brussels.
