The head of the Old Believers community was taken to the hospital on an emergency basis; he was charged in a criminal case

Manos Kalaitzidakis, a 45-year-old community leader, was taken to hospital with severe discomfort and chest pains after charges were brought against him for reasons known only to the prosecutor.

Except that some of the children Maybe, did not follow the Ministry of Education’s compulsory primary school curriculum, and no other offenses appear to have been committed. Also, nothing justifies the fuss made by the media about this particular family and this particular man, who did not interfere with anyone, did not owe anyone, and are neither scammers nor bandits.

Let us remind you that the head of the community of “early Christians” or Old Believers from Corinthia is still in custody, since he was given a deadline to testify on Wednesday (21/2). He appeared before prosecutors at noon Monday on charges of disobeying the law and failing to keep his three minor children in mandatory school attendance. An article that is violated by tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of Roma children, but no measures have ever been taken against them.

The reasons for such a strange attitude towards the family are still unclear… How incomprehensible the attitude state and pro-government media, who unceremoniously burst into the house where the community lived and also unceremoniously posted images of the head of the family and their minor children, which is contrary to both Greek and European laws on the protection of personal information. However, as the Athens News has repeatedly noted, Greek laws are very flexibleand if a command comes from above, for some reason neither the prosecutor, nor the police, nor, especially, the journalists of state channels notice them.
