In Italy, a trans man undergoing testing before a hysterectomy was found to be five months pregnant.

Doctors are concerned that hormone therapy has already begun to work in Mark’s case – he is experiencing hair growth on his face and body. Experts also suggest that high levels of male and female hormones in the body may cause cardiac risk, increasing the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes, although there is little conclusive research on this topic.

However, doctors hope that Mark will survive the pregnancy and give birth to a healthy child. He will become the baby’s biological mother, but will be legally registered as his father.
