A suspicious package on the doorstep of the Russian embassy in Athens

The fire service and special unit police are conducting an operation to eliminate a suspicious package that was sent to the Russian Embassy in Athens, located on Nikiforou Litra Street in Paleo Psychiko.

The operation involves 15 firefighters with a special team from the 1st EMAK and 5 vehicles. At the same time, a team from the explosive device disposal department arrived at the scene. ΕΛ.ΑΣ.

According to the fire service, the package was discovered around 10 a.m. by an embassy employee who considered it suspicious and did not open it. After completing all the actions provided for by the protocol, the “parcel” will be transferred to the competent services.
