Thermobaric charges on Shahed-136(?) – a new level of threats (video)

The Shahed-136, flying towards Ukraine, allegedly began to install thermobaric charges, the so-called “vacuum bombs”.

It is impossible to hide from their explosion in the affected area, which takes the threat from kamikaze drones to a completely different level. About this on Sunday reported Defense Express, citing the opinion of Sergei Beskrestnov, a specialist in the field of communications, electronic warfare and electronic warfare.

However, information about the installation of thermobaric combat elements, according to Defense Express’s own sources among sappers examining and eliminating combat units of Russian long-range weapons, has NOT BEEN CONFIRMED.

Defense Express notes that the thermobaric type of charge has a completely different operating principle than conventional explosives. And the main danger lies not in the affected area, but in the inability to hide from the explosion in the affected area:

“When a thermobaric ammunition detonates, a shock wave is formed, followed by elements of the thermobaric mixture. This mixture interacts with air and with itself, and a “cloud” with a temperature of 2400-2600 °C is formed, which “lives” for about one second. In addition to the high temperature, people in the affected area are also threatened by a powerful shock wave that injures the lungs and hearing aids. That is why a “martyr” equipped with a thermobaric charge poses an increased danger to people.
