Using the service "112" the tax office will notify if the taxpayer does not pay contributions or taxes

Through the emergency notification service “112”, the Greek Tax Office will remind taxpayers of the deadlines for fulfilling their obligations. This feature will be activated by the end of 2023, as announced in advance.

It should be noted here that the government has been conducting “intensive training” for all Greeks for the past four years, constantly sending them 112 alerts, be it weather events, floods or fires.

Taxpayers will receive personal notices of their obligations that they will have to pay in the coming period: income tax payments; payments by ENFIA; VAT returns; payment of tax debts, etc. in order so as not to miss any dates. It seems the government hasn’t realized that Greeks are not “forgetful” and don’t pay taxes because they simply don’t have the money to pay them!

AADE also intends to successfully implement an early warning system. With its help, the Tax Calendar application will be updated and notify the taxpayer about the status of his overdue debt and many other things that he needs to pay off. The new AADE application will allow citizens to view their tax profile, tax debt, pay it using a card from their mobile phone and receive notifications on their phone about all their obligations. And as soon as the debtor fails to pay the payment, the system will automatically send the citizen a message about the unpaid fee. In addition, she will remind him of the penalties.

And all this will happen in the style of the 112 service – the sound of a siren and an artificial voice that will loudly speak about your debt. It should be added here that soon all actions of this kind, as a rule, will be entrusted to artificial intelligence. This means that everyone will have to deal with an artificial “entity” that is devoid of sentimentality and will hit all citizens mercilessly, regardless of whether they have the money to pay or not…
