On Tuesday, November 14, a letter signed by 500 government intelligence officers was sent to Joe Biden protesting his unconditional support for Israel in the Gaza Strip.
All of them belong to the largest US federal intelligence services. This indicates growing dissatisfaction with Joe Biden’s pro-Israel line in his own camp.
The Letter recalls that, according to an October poll, 66% of Americans also favor an end to the Israeli attack. Among Democrats, this figure reaches 80%, but protests from the Democratic wing are increasingly noticeable in Congress.
Rfi Miami correspondent David Thompson reports that the letter was signed by 500 members of the Biden administration who supported his election and currently work in about forty agencies, including the State Department, FBI, Justice Department and National Security Council. Those who signed it call “urgently demand a ceasefire”, “demand the release of Israeli hostages” and Palestinians who “subject to arbitrary detention”. They also call for the restoration of water, fuel, electricity and adequate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
This is not the first request. For the third time in as many weeks, federal agents have sent a petition to Joe Biden’s office protesting his support for an Israeli operation.
Who, if not the secret service employees, understands that the growing degree of hatred from the Palestinians and the entire Arab world towards Israel will also be sent to the United States, which is actively participating in the conflict on the side of Israel. And this means a sharp increase in the risk of terrorist attacks not only in Israel, but also against US citizens around the world, US military bases, and also directly on the territory of the United States.
