Greeks are being turned into “headhunters”, motivated by the fight against tax evasion

The Mitsotakis government is leading Greek society down a very slippery slope by legitimizing and rewarding with money “snitching” for tax violations.

Of course, the question immediately arises: who will protect the informers themselves? Police? After all, if now, for example, a neighbor denounces a neighbor, guided by the usual motive of hostility, does the Ministry of Finance really believe that this will not happen in the case of enterprise activities? And also how will entrepreneurs perceive their punishment and will they turn against the informer, catching him somewhere in a quiet alley and breaking his legs?

Is the government ready for this kind of problem, or do they not care? This is the practical part. There is also a moral one, which is that this will turn the entire society into “headhunters”. Don’t they care about that either?

Because if citizens who are going to file denunciations did it for legal reasons, they would have done it before. And before the tax service accepted complaints. But now they will do it for money. It will become a profession. If someone makes, say, four “substantial complaints”, they will earn 12,000 euros! Not bad, because this “fee” will not be taxed (that is, everything will go into your pocket), and also will not be confiscated for debts to the state, etc.!

That’s the beauty of it! Anyone who has debts to the state, even due to tax evasion, will be able to turn in his enemy for… tax evasion! Government in fact opens the “Eolian chest”. The problems it will create under the pretext of combating tax evasion will be unprecedented.

Financial bonus equal to ten times the cost of the operation (with a minimum amount of 100 euros and a maximum of 3,000 euros), for citizens who file complaints about counterfeit cash registers through the Appodixi application, as a result of which an inspection is carried out and a fine is imposed, a tax bill has been submitted for public discussion.
