A tourist tried to photograph a deer while on holiday in Aegina but ended up in hospital.
The animal hit him with its horns and broke several ribs, as seen in footage that went viral online. “I couldn’t believe it,” Gian Carlo Triacca, 42, told Caters News Service of the attack, which happened while he and his wife Erica were vacationing on the beautiful Greek island.
When the incident occurred, tourists from Cancun, Mexico were enjoying the beautiful scenery while on vacation in Greece. The area, rich in wildlife, gave the couple the opportunity to observe and interact with free-roaming animals and birds, such as peacocks and deer. They seemed “so cute” and completely tame.
In a video posted online, Triacca is seen trying to get into the frame with the deer, initially calm and indifferent to the approach of a person. However, suddenly a wild animal comes in from the side and attacks the unsuspecting man. The blow was strong, as a result of which the tourist broke several ribs. The Mexican was rushed to the hospital.
