Lutsa: a man called EL.AS and said that he knew the killers of six Turks

Greek police were alerted early Monday after a Turkish man called authorities to say he knew the killers of six Turks in Lutsa.

The man reportedly gave his address and said he feared for his life and asked for protection. The man was taken to GADA to give evidence.

The Lutz (Artemis) massacre occurred on September 11, 2023, when six Turks aged between 20 and 30 were killed in a car with German license plates, from which one of them managed to escape and died on the asphalt. At the crime scene, located on Arathinos Street, near the intersection with Arionos Street in Artemis, 25 shell casings were found.

Let us recall that two Turks, accused of being among those who shot six compatriots in Artemis, are in prison in connection with this case. These are two men, 32 and 28 years old, who are accused of serial accessory to murder and violation of weapons laws.

According to Greek police, the 32-year-old man allegedly played a central role as he was responsible for transporting the six to Greece and procuring their fake IDs. He took them to a house in Lutsa, arguing that the house was close to the airport, as until that point the victims had lived in an apartment in Paleo Faliro, which they rented through a short-term rental platform.

Is Turkish MIT behind the shooting in Artemis?

From witness statements and CCTV footage in the area, it was learned that the suspect took his 28-year-old accomplice to the murder scene and then went to the victims’ hideout to lead them into a deadly trap. One suspect remained on Arionos Street, while his accomplice persuaded the six victims to get into a blue car and go to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, from where they were scheduled to fly to Italy.

The 32-year-old suspect was allegedly part of the same gang as the six victims, but for reasons still unknown, decided to “betray” them by leading them into a deadly trap. The 28-year-old allegedly carried out all the preparatory steps for the execution, and also “scanned” the place several hours before the victims arrived there.

It still remains unknown how third party role who participated in the execution, and whether these two arrested were the ones who opened fire on the six Turks or were simply present at the time of the massacre. Following a coordinated operation, the Police Security Service managed to locate the 32-year-old Turkish man at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport as he prepared to flee to his country via the island of Lesbos.

Greek journalists are already at the very beginning expressed doubts the fact that ordinary bandits could so professionally kill 6 of their “competitor colleagues”, leaving practically no traces.

Execution in Artemis: Turk murder weapon found

The known facts are:

  • Six people are killed simultaneously within 35 seconds. Four were found in a car parked on the road, two more were found outside. They probably got out of the car.
  • All six victims have French passports, but it is not yet known whether they are genuine or counterfeit. According to initial information, these passports were not known to the Greek authorities in the past.
  • The names on the passports indicate that the victims are Turkish, but some claim, however, that they are of Kurdish origin.
  • The car, old and inexpensive, has temporary (travel) German license plates crudely taped to it.
  • The victims were shot with two pistols (or a submachine gun), indicating that there were at least two killers.
  • The audio recording of the shooting is 35 seconds long, and the number of shell casings found at the crime scene is about 60.
  • No weapons or drugs were found on the victims or in their car.

This is where the questions and concerns begin:

  1. Greek police automatically, in cases of murders that are not otherwise explained, disclose a “cleaning up the accounts of rival gangs” scenario. However, no weapons or drugs were found among the victims, and they did not bother the authorities. How do they know it’s a “gang”?
  2. Six people crammed into an old car – not the type of transport bandits would choose. Conversely, an illegal Turkish or Kurdish organization that is saving resources may do just that.
  3. The Greek or Albanian mafia have never before committed such massive crimes in Greece. They usually kill one or two for revenge or intimidation.
  4. The Greek mafia has shown in previous incidents that it prefers Kalashnikovs to pistols. Were they going to kill six people together with guns?
  5. The speed at which up to 60 shots were fired is impressive. What they sound like in audio is 35 seconds! This shows professionals who know how to use their weapons well.
  6. The worst thing is that four of the six people inside the car did not even have time to move when they were shot.

The above must be answered by the police investigation and, in particular, EYP and anti-terrorism service. But from all of the above, it is possible that the crime is of a political nature.

In this case, it could be the actions of foreign agents, perhaps the MIT secret service inside Greece, who exterminated Erdogan’s opponents. Moreover, Erdogan has repeatedly accused the Greek authorities of the fact that in this area (in Lavrio) located training base for Kurdish terrorists. Greece denied this, but such insistence on the part of Turkey apparently had certain motives. Moreover, it is no secret that there is a large Kurdish community in Greece, and over the past few years, the police and intelligence services have several times reported the arrest of “Kurdish militants.”
