Authorities began arresting two people from whom 400 liters of vegetable oil of dubious quality and origin were confiscated.
A man and a woman were arrested on Thursday morning by officers from the Pionia police station in the Kilkis region. During a standard check of the vehicle, plastic and metal containers were discovered and confiscated, containing a total of 400 liters of olive oil.

There were no necessary documents, waybills or invoices for the corresponding cargo. The oil itself was likely of dubious authenticity and origin. The car used for the illegal transportation, as well as two cell phones, were confiscated.
An investigation is underway into “where oil’s legs grow from.”

Let us remind you that recently about 37 tons were removed from the warehouse. It might be part of what was stolen. The authorities promised to find the thieves and punish them severely.
