Israel, latest update: casualties exceed 1,200, IDF hits more than 200 targets in Gaza


As of the morning of October 11, more than 1,200 people had died in Israel, and the number of Israeli soldiers killed had risen to 170.

2,901 people were injured in the Hamas attack, more than 500 are in hospital, 26 in critical condition and 340 in serious condition. The number of victims on both sides continues to rise, reports The Times of Israel.

Funerals were held across Israel on Tuesday for soldiers and civilians killed in the massive invasion on October 7.

The United Nations said 260,000 people have been forced from their homes in Gaza as the IDF carries out heavy attacks on Hamas targets in the strip.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad say they are holding 130 Israelis captive in Gaza, including IDF officials.
