According to SKAI, layoffs are expected in the coming days at least seven high-ranking officers, and 15 officers are under the “microscope” of the internal investigation department, with seven of them in the “red zone”. Explanations are also given by those officers who were specifically involved in the transfer of Croatian supporters from Kakavia to Athens.

For seven candidates for dismissal, according to sources from the Ministry of Civil Defense, there is a serious responsibility for managing the incident, and more specifically for two lieutenant generals, three brigadier generals and two chiefs of police departments. The proposals of the police officers will relate to what the new legislative framework should include in terms of the general actions that the police will take in this area, as well as the conditions, forces and means that will be required to implement the plan to implement measures, in particular control behind sports facilities, clubs, etc.

The meeting was attended by employees of EL.AS. and the heads of all police services associated with stadiums, in particular the general directors for order and security, the commander of the sub-directorate for combating violence at sports venues, the general directors of regional administrations where major football clubs are based and stadiums are located.
