By launching missile strikes with strategic Kh-47M2 “Dagger” from 15 Tu-95 strategic bombers, the Russians responded to Ukrainian attacks with naval drones in the Black Sea, but the heaviest blow was delivered against … Turkey.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian missiles were fired on the territory of Ukraine, which hit mainly the buildings of the aerospace industry “Motor Sich” or, in other words, the enterprises that manufacture and supply engines for the main Turkish aviation weapons systems .
It was at this enterprise that a contract was signed for the production of 30 AI-450T turbojet engines for the Turkish Bayraktar Akinci aircraft, and this is just one example of bilateral relations between a Ukrainian enterprise and Turkey.
Bayraktar, AKinci, Kızılelma, T-629 and ATAK-II are left without engines, and developments for HURJET and KAAN will also be at risk, which means that the Turkish industry as a whole will be under attack in weapons projects, which also bring Turkey the largest contracts .
“A new missile attack was carried out on our country. They attacked Motor Sich and the Khmelnytsky region”, Zelensky said in his daily address, which was broadcast on social networks. It should be noted that it is at this enterprise that Ukraine produces engines for aircraft, helicopters and drones.

The Kinzhal missiles hit targets in Kyiv, Khmelnitsky and Zhytomyr in northwestern Ukraine and Poltava in the central part of the country. At the same time, Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from ships of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea at Ukrainian targets, and explosions thundered in Zhytomyr.
In total, the terrorists have already launched at least 1961 "Shaheds" against Ukraine, and a significant number of them have been shot down. Unfortunately, not all of them. The Motor Sich plant in Zaporizhia came under attack by the Russians a few months after the intervention in Ukraine. Last fall, the Ukrainian state nationalized an enterprise that mainly produces engines for airplanes, helicopters and drones.
Sergei Tyurin, deputy governor of the Khmelnitsky region in western Ukraine, said the targets included a military airfield in Starokonstantinov, where Ukrainian SU-24s are based, armed with Shadow Storm missiles, according to the Russian Federation.
“The Starokonstantinov airport is the target of the enemy. A series of explosions occurred in the cities of Starokonstantinov and Khmelnitsky, – he said through the Telegram platform. – Most of the missiles were shot down by air defense forces.” According to Tyurin, the explosions damaged private houses, the House of Culture and the bus station, and a fire broke out in the granary. Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat told Ukrainian National Radio that one of the main targets of Russia’s nighttime attack was the Khmelnitsky region.
