On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, and three days later on Nagasaki.

Today the world celebrates a sad date: the 78th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that the path to nuclear disarmament has become more risky, lengthy and thorny. The country remembers the victims of the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945.

A solemn ceremony was held in the Peace Park, in which approximately 50,000 people took part. Among them are representatives of more than a hundred countries.

This year, the delegations of the Russian Federation and Belarus did not receive invitations to it. The Japanese Prime Minister noted that today, “because of deepening international disagreements and nuclear threats from Russia,” the path to nuclear disarmament has become more risky.
