Russia shelling Odessa and Nikolaev for the 4th day

For the fourth day in a row, after the termination of the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, Russia launches missile attacks on the ports and military infrastructure of Odessa and Nikolaev.

The Russians are methodically destroying cargo terminals and storage facilities for grain, sunflower oil, claiming that this is being done as revenge for the explosion of the Crimean bridge. Russian missiles have also been aimed at oil terminals, which were taboo under the “grain deal” in operation.

Moscow is outraged by the Ukrainian attack on the Crimean bridge, which killed two civilians – a young married couple, and wounded their 14-year-old daughter. Since that day, something has changed: the Russians seem to be in the mood for more active use of firepower than they have been until now.

Many analysts, however, believe that Moscow’s reaction is not so much emotional as based largely on cruel logic. The Russian headquarters is interested in the fact that the Ukrainians would not be able to conduct any offensive operations in Kherson while a large Russian army is advancing on the northern front, in the city of Kupyansk. The Russians are seeking to provoke a breach of the Ukrainian defensive lines in the Kharkiv region, taking advantage of the fact that Kyiv is now experiencing a serious shortage of troops.

Some Ukrainian and Russian Telegram channels note that often Ukraine shows previously destroyed objects in reports to assure Russia that the targets were successfully hit.
