British intelligence agencies appealed to Russian citizens

The head of the British secret service MI6 made a public statement on Wednesday, July 19 (which is extremely rare), referring to the citizens of Russia.

While in the Czech Republic at that time, Richard Moore, no less, no more, called for cooperation with the British intelligence services of those Russians who can no longer see how the president of their country “tearing the country apart and killing innocent people”, and to help Ukraine defeat their country.

This statement, for obvious reasons, is far from ordinary. It is very rare that the head of the secret services of a Western country openly incites the citizens of a hostile country to desert… Moore’s action, apart from being unexpected, caused, as expected, an immediate reaction and reflexes from the Russian side. Maria Zakharova, for example, answered the chief British intelligence officer as follows:

“Such tricks are unlikely to win over Russia, and Mr. Moore would do well to mention what happened to Skripal a few years ago.”

The Kremlin’s response was also aggressive, as the case of double spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia sparked alarm in London in 2018. Former Soviet and Western (double) spy Skripal was poisoned with a nerve agent, as was his daughter, at their UK home. After several months in the hospital, they survived, but the British authorities openly accused Moscow of trying to silence the entire planet. Russia then categorically denied everything, saying that MI6 made a bad copy of the KGB methods and exposed them to the whole world.

Zakharova’s reference to the Skripal case is not a coincidence. The actions of London, apparently, were not expected by Russia. As Western analysts emphasize, the reference to the Skripals fully reflects the horror caused by the British open call for national apostasy and betrayal.

The British plan may have been just an outburst and a signal to the RF that the fighting going on in the background will intensify over time and nothing is off limits at this level. But the West should not once again underestimate the dynamics of Russia. Moves like the British’s play heighten the mood, and the enemy’s attention is focused on red, an unnamed security source tells CNNi.

Equally important is the fact that the British Foreign Office has not officially taken a stand on the matter, and the English press is claiming that yesterday the head of MI6 may have taken the first of many follow-up steps in an operation that has been going on for several months.

Whether the British appeal to the Russian people will have any effect, direct or indirect, or may remain forever unknown – is still unknown, but today it is clear that the big fighters are ready and with all weapons “aimed”, writes CNN Greece.
