On Saturday, July 15, the Acropolis will again be closed to the public during the hottest hours – from 11:30 to 17:30. Due to the high air temperature, three tourists on Friday, including a child, fainted while sightseeing.
The first incident occurred around 9 am, and the unconscious woman was immediately given medical attention. At about 11 a.m., a man standing in line for tickets fainted under the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis, and a few minutes later a little girl from Canada fainted.
All the victims received immediate medical assistance, representatives of the Greek Red Cross (Ελληνικού Ερυθρού Σταυρού) were on duty at the scene.
On Saturday, July 15, it is hot again in Greece, the thermometers will show 39-40°C, in some areas up to 42-43°C.

Sunny and cloudless. Wind northeast from 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale. Temperature 28-40°C, 2-3 degrees lower in the east.
THESSALONIKI
Clear and cloudless. The wind is variable, from 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, southerly in the afternoon. Temperature 25-39°C.
High temperatures, up to 41-42°C, are expected in the following regions:
Larisa
Trikala
Karditsa
Phthiotis
Boeotia
Attica
Corinthia
Argolis
Laconia
South Crete.
According to the meteorological forecast, mercury thermometer readings will reach 40°C on the islands, especially in the eastern Aegean, in areas near the Turkish coast, such as Mytilini, Lemnos, Chios, Samos and in southern Crete.
