Venice offers excellent conditions for general practitioners who are ready to start working in this city, and advertises the attractiveness of the vacancy with a colorful show.
The fact is that all 44 therapists who now serve the population of the city in northeast Italy are retiring and need replacements. To draw the attention of doctors to vacancies, the authorities staged a light show that is projected onto the hospital building as an advertising campaign “Doctor, the most beautiful city in the world is waiting for you!”.
Manuela Lanzarin, health consultant for the Veneto region, explains the nuances of the proposal:
“We’re offering a place in the dispensary with a good salary and a house for rent at a decent price to introduce them to the staff and the hospital, the work of the hospital, to facilitate patient care.”
In search of specialists, local authorities are ready to offer interested doctors additional bonuses, one of which is a parking space at the entrance to the city. It remains to add that the average salary of a therapist in Italy is from 2,500 to 5,000 euros after deducting insurance premiums.
Even doctors from Brazil have already sent resumes for vacant vacancies.
