Bus route X80 Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens resumes service


The X80 express bus “Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens” resumed its summer route through the streets of Athens from June 3, 2023.

The X80 bus line runs on routes connecting the PPA cruise ship terminal in Piraeus (Haveri beach and Miaouli beach) with the Acropolis and the center of Piraeus with the center of Athens, and on the way back to Piraeus it passes with a stop at the “Cultural Center of Stavros Niarchos”.

Line X80 runs in a circle in about 60 minutes, a distance of 27 kilometers, that is, passengers can reach the center of Athens from the port of Piraeus and back within half an hour.

The route has 16 stops marking places from Piraeus to Athens of particular tourist interest, such as the Acropolis Museum, the Piraeus Archaeological Museum, the planetarium, the Piraeus Municipal Theatre, the National Museum of Modern Art and the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center.

There are stops at two exits from the cruise terminal in PPA, in the center of Piraeus, at the Neo Faliro metro station (Karaiskaki stadium), at the Syngrou-Fix metro station, at the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center, on the Acropolis and Syntagma, from separate places of embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.

From the intermediate stops of the bus route, you can make a transfer:

  • to the main metro stations (Singru-Fix, Neo Faliro and Syntagma)
  • on bus lines X96 (from Piraeus) and X95 (from Syntagma) to Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”

Routes operate daily every 40 minutes, from 7:00 to 21:15, departing from a starting point on the coast of Haveri in Piraeus.

Ticket price for bus line X80:

A €4.10 unlimited travel ticket that allows the passenger to travel for one day and the rest of the network OASA.

A tourist ticket worth 20 euros, with which the passenger travels without restrictions for three days on the network, including a trip to the Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos.”

Bus routes lines “Piraeus-Acropolis-Athens” and bus stops (Greek only) will be placed in telematics application.

Bus X80 runs until October 2023.
