Today Belarus celebrates the Day of State Symbols – the flag, coat of arms and anthem. A solemn ceremony of honoring them was held in Minsk, but the country’s President Alexander Lukashenko again did not appear in public after the news of deteriorating health.
Independent publication “Zerkalo” notesthat Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko delivered a speech at the celebrations instead of him. The appearance at this ceremony was important for the president, since it is already the fifth day that he has not appeared in public space, and nothing is known about his condition.
Since the celebrations on May 9 in Moscow and Minsk, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has not appeared in public, no events with his personal participation have been held. At the same time, the press service of the head of state and officials remain silent.
Yesterday evening, May 13, the presidential cortege, accompanied by Strela, arrived at the territory of the presidential clinic in Drozdy. It is known that at the time of his arrival, the entrances to the hospital were blocked, and security forces were standing along the roads. Two hours later, at about 21:00, Lukashenka’s cortege left the “Republican Clinical Medical Center” and at about 21:20 drove to Ostroshitsky town.
