The National Medicines Agency EOF is warning consumers about the dangers of using three drugs for weight loss.
As mentioned in today’s announcement, the EOF is warning consumers not to buy or use Trex Tea “refresh yourself”, Trex Cap, Trex+plus.”
The relevant official statement says that one of the substances they contain was previously banned, and the other is associated with adverse effects, especially on the cardiovascular system. These weight loss drugs are sold on foreign detox and weight loss websites.
According to the results of laboratory control Αρμόδια Αρχή της Γαλλίας (ANSM), medicinal substances sibutramine and sildenafil were identified in these preparations.
Sibutramine was withdrawn (banned) in EU in January 2010, because, according to the competent committee of the European Medicines Agency (CHMP-EMA), the benefit-risk ratio is not positive (more harm than benefit). And sildenafil is associated with side effects, especially on the cardiovascular system. Therefore, the use of “Trex Tea “refresh yourself”, Trex Cap, Trex+plus” poses a risk to human health.
Consumers are urged to be vigilant so that if they have already purchased these drugs, do not use them and immediately report it to the EOF. Take care of your health!.
