How to spend the weekend so that life sparkles with new colors

Gray weekdays are quite capable of leading to depression if you do not use the weekend effectively. Of course, everyone spends them according to their choice – sleeps off, puts things in order in the apartment or goes to meet friends or relatives. We ventured to give you some advice – how best to spend a day off from work.

Information unloading

Take a break from social networks – they take so much time that the day off can fly by unnoticed, and in the end, there will be zero sense from it. If you are one of those lucky people who do not suffer from Internet addiction, you can skip this paragraph. And if you find yourself in the trap of social networks often enough, try deleting apps for the weekend that only take up time. Another option is to set a time limit for visiting sites and leave the news for Monday. And at the same time, set the “do not disturb” mode on your smartphone for incoming calls by selecting a specific group of interlocutors, conversations with which may well wait until Monday. This is especially true for work contacts (if you are sure that an extreme situation cannot arise there that requires your presence).

Alone with myself…

Devote time to yourself, your beloved (beloved): sit in silence, soak in the bathroom, read a book. It is especially good to set aside time for this in the morning, while the rest of the family is sleeping – so no one will bother you. Unless, of course, you did not plan to finally sleep off that day – this can also be important.

General cleaning – not for the weekend

Statistics says: 65% of people, mostly women, devote their weekends to household chores. It is much better to plan household problems on different days of the week. At the same time, try to actively involve all family members in household chores, stop being shy and take everything upon yourself. Take advantage of services such as free home delivery of groceries. Believe me, it is much more comfortable and helps save precious time.

Sports

Even if during the week you watched your diet and tried to move as much as possible to lose weight, activity tends to drop on the weekends. Less movement, more food, and … on Monday, you have to start all over again, as the weekly achievements “smoothly faded away.” Do not forget about sports on the weekend, and the results will soon please you. The choice is great – a pool or a run, an active walk in the park for half an hour. And you can also sign up for yoga, Pilates, boxing or any other sport that is comfortable for you.

Communication

On weekdays, many find it difficult to find time to communicate with their loved ones. Do it on your day off. Play with the kids and talk heart to heart with them, help with homework, spend time with your loved one, visit your parents, or at least call them and ask about the latest events in their lives.

Favorite activities

On a day off, it’s time to devote time to your hobby. Prepare some unusual dish, draw, write in a diary, go for a walk with a camera (yes, don’t be surprised, even in the age of smartphones there are many people who are fond of photography). And don’t stick to a time schedule – just have fun.

Being outdoors is a great stress reliever.

A walk in nature is an opportunity to escape from problems, “reboot” your head, and spend time with your family. Beautiful landscapes are the best anti-stress, and fresh air will invigorate you for the coming week.

A change of scenery

According to experts, visiting new places is good for the state of mind and for the brain – they contribute to the formation of connections between neurons. And it is not necessary to go to another city. Take a walk along a route you haven’t visited in a long time or visit a new place that you haven’t had time to appreciate yet.

However, if on the day off you feel that after a busy week you have no strength and energy at all, do not be upset – it happens. Sometimes it’s good to have a lazy weekend.
