The G7 demand that Moscow “immediately withdraw from Ukraine and return Crimea”

The G7 called for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from all Ukrainian territories, including Crimea, today, expressing “unshakable” support for Ukraine “as long as necessary.”

This move means that the Russian leadership was pressed “back to the wall”, since the West does not offer any concept of a peace plan, but demands the complete defeat of Russia in the movement a la World War II, when Eisenhower’s phrase was heard: “I only want complete victory” .

In its final communiqué, the group of seven industrialized countries called on Russia to “stop aggression” and “immediately withdraw from Ukraine.” The statement emphasizes that “they will never recognize the illegal annexation of the territories of eastern Ukraine, Crimea and Sevastopol.” The G7 also warns that “any use by Russia of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons” will have serious consequences.

The G7 says it will take action against third countries providing material support for Russia’s war in Ukraine. “We call on third countries or other international players who are trying to evade or undermine our measures to stop their material support of the Russian war or they will pay a heavy price,” the statement said.

A little earlier, the United States and Great Britain, the countries included in the G7, announced new sanctions against Moscow on the occasion of the anniversary of the invasion. The G7 also said it would extend the economic measures already in place on Russia and vowed to prevent Moscow from finding new ways to acquire advanced materials and technologies, as well as military and industrial equipment. The G7 added that it would continue its efforts to ensure that Russia “pays for Ukraine’s reconstruction.”

The G7 said it would take additional action against the Russian economic sector to “further undermine Russia’s ability to wage illegal war.”
