They act inhumanely … with humanitarian aid

The response of the Greeks to the needs of Turkey and Syria for humanitarian assistance continues to be at a high level. Citizens are collecting clothes and essentials to make life easier for all those affected by the catastrophic earthquake.

Nevertheless, photographer Georgios Mutafis, visiting one of the centers where humanitarian aid was collected and sorted, encountered a shocking phenomenon. “People’s aid has turned into garbage,” he writes in his Facebook post, “the help collected for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has been turned into a dump. This is where the world’s help ends. Shame on you!”.

Heartbreaking photos “with meaning” he made in the Central management of essentials in the Attica region. A filmmaker and photographer captures footage of shame in the Attica region, where clothes, food and everything else needed by the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria are collected.

Meanwhile, the region, in a social media post yesterday, revealed 50 of its vehicles will depart this Sunday from the SEF to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the earthquake in Turkey.

Recall, as Athens News previously wrote, volunteers receiving humanitarian aid from all over the world sometimes are shocked by what they are sent…. good-hearted citizens.
