Staged videos and fakes about the earthquake in Turkey fill the Internet. On the grief of the victims, some seek to “hype” and earn.
The creators of the program The Cube found a lot of materials on social networks about the consequences catastrophic earthquakewhich actually have nothing to do with them.
Well, for example, collapsed buildings – an impressive video, the authors of which claim that this is happening during an earthquake in Turkey. It’s actually 2021, the Surfside condo collapse in Florida. Also a tragedy in which almost 100 people died, but … not an earthquake in Turkey.
Or a tsunami – the video shows a huge wave that hit the Turkish coast. As it turned out, the shooting refers to 2017 – a mini-tsunami in South Africa.
And the photo of a suffering, crying baby, who allegedly sits on the ruins of his destroyed house, is absolutely outrageous. For many, the picture aroused sympathy and pity for the child, but in fact it is one of the elements of the staging session – anyone can purchase photos as stock.
