Tax inspectors have closed an illegal gas station in West Attica that has sold an estimated 18 million euros worth of fuel since it opened in 2010.
During the audit, it turned out that the gas station did not have a license to operate, there was no entry-exit monitoring system, and checks were issued from a cash register that did not transmit data to the Independent State Revenue Administration.
The inspectors found an illegal fuel tank on the territory, as well as a tanker truck, illegally converted from a truck.
The owner has been arrested and faces an administrative fine of more than 150,000 euros.
