More than 1,000 tourists came to watch the changing of the presidential guard

A crowd of people watched with interest the ceremony of changing the guard of the Evzones, gathered at the monument to the Unknown Soldier. Tour operators “sell” a spectacular performance as an “attraction”.

Foreign tourists, as well as a few Greeks who did not leave the capital on three holidays on August 13, 14 and 15, watched the changing of the presidential guard at Syntagma with special attention and interest. Crowds of people lined up in front of the parliament building to witness the ritual of the changing of the guard. Holding cameras, cameras and mobile phones in their hands, everyone was able to capture the solemn ceremony. In particular, at least 1,000 tourists were present at the square today.

At the same time, the streets of the capital were empty. Almost all the locals, as usual, have already left the city to have a little rest on the islands or in the countryside and celebrate the “summer Easter”.
