Foreign Ministry to Greek citizens: Immediately leave the territory of Ukraine

The Greek Foreign Ministry called on its citizens to immediately leave Ukraine, announced the reduction of the embassy in Kiev to a minimum and the increase in the staff of the consulate general in Mariupol, a region where a large Greek diaspora lives compactly.

This is stated in statement Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

“This morning, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chaired by Nikos Dendias, which was attended by Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Minister of Education and Religion Niki Kerameos, Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsanias.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly discourages traveling through the territory of Ukraine, and calls on Greek citizens who are in the country to leave the country immediately.

Greek citizens who have not yet left Ukraine are advised to immediately report their contact details to the Greek Embassy in Kiev.

At the same time, it is noted that the staff of the Kiev embassy has been reduced to the required level.

At the same time, the staff of the Consulate General of Mariupol will be strengthened.”

On February 12, Vadim Stolar and Vasily Khmelnitsky flew out of Ukraine, on February 13 – businessmen Andrey Stavnitser and Vadim Nesterenko.
