The coffin with the body of Fofi Gennimata arrived at the Metropolitan Church of Athens, it is covered with the flags of PASOK, KINAL, Greece and is in the chapel.
Fofi Gennimata passed away on Monday 25 October at Evangelismos Hospital. President KINAL is buried at public expense as Minister of Energy. National mourning has been declared in Greece today, flags are at half-mast on public buildings.
The farewell will be attended by President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Speaker of Parliament Konstantinos Tasoulas, Secretary of KINAL Manolis Christodoulakis, state and political leadership of the country, faction leaders, associates and friends, ordinary citizens.
