A 65-year-old man was arrested by security personnel from the Peania Police Department (Thessaloniki). He is charged with possession and cultivation of cannabis.
During a search of the house of a drug suspect, using the police dog Akila from the Halkidiki Police Department, a quantity of cannabis was found and seized, weighing approximately 6.5 kg.
In a greenhouse located in the courtyard of a 65-year-old citizen’s house, as well as on an open terrace, 18 cannabis seedlings up to 70 cm high were found.
The hemp was uprooted and confiscated by the police. The detainee, against whom the case has been initiated, will be brought before the prosecutor of the first instance court of Thessaloniki.
