A newborn in an Old Believer family was in danger – the mother refused to go to the maternity hospital

We don't bother anyone.“The woman said she had managed to keep a low profile until last week, when an ambulance rushed her to hospital in a critical condition. She was 42 weeks pregnant and bleeding uncontrollably.”The doctors told me that if I had come to them 10 minutes later, I might have died.“, says the woman in labor.

Sevasti gave birth to her fifth child a week ago. The little girl weighed almost 4 kg. The mother and child could not survive. Because Sevasti decided to give birth at home alone, with the help of only a midwife, without any prenatal examination, having already four cesarean sectionsSeeing that his wife was bleeding heavily, Manolis decided to seek medical help.

The doctors did everything possible to save the life of the mother and baby. Sevasti was immediately sent to the operating room. In the end, Sevasti and the baby survived. The doctors saved them from imminent death, ignoring the unfounded demands of her husband and herself about allegedly “changing her… DNA” after a blood transfusion.

Baby Anna, as they decided to call her, continues to be in the neonatal unit, and doctors are still wary of her growth and development. After this incredible “adventure” Sevasti was met by a social worker and it was finally decided that the baby should remain in the hospital until the conditions in which she will live after discharge from the maternity hospital are checked.
